Meet the Team |
This is a unique team! "One is too small a number to produce greatness." The team now consists of seven people. We all come from different denominations: Anglican, Baptist, Catholic, Jewish, Lutheran, Pentecostal and United. The religious walls have come down and we all have joined together to be a part of something that is being done for the very first time in Canada. Pat Gardiner, CSR - Coordinator, has been a court reporter for more than 30 years. She has reported in the Yukon, British Columbia, Alberta and Ontario. She is presently doing freelance work and also is the founder and coordinator of the team. more... Denise Agard, CSR (A), graduated from George Brown College in 1992 at 180 words per minute, then worked in Provincial Court until 1994 when she went to General Division until 1997. Continuing her education, she attended NAIT (Northern Alberta Institute of Technology) where she upgraded her skills using recent technology. She currently is employed in the Superior Court of Justice. She became part of our team in February of 2000. more... Joanne Anderson, CSR, RPR, with over 25 years of experience in court reporting, has provided realtime reporting and daily copy services in notable trials such as the Bernardo trial and the Pearson International Airport trial. She specializes in reporting and captioning skills to the legal, business and deaf/hard of hearing communities in Ontario. She became part of our team in December of 1997. more... Phyllis Doel, CSR, is a post graduate of the Dental Assisting Program at Niagara College and a Computer Programming graduate at Mohawk College. She graduated from George Brown College with Honours in Court Reporting in 1990. Phyllis has worked at the Superior Court of Justice (Toronto) from 1992 to the present. more... Diane LeBlanc, CSR, has been reporting since 1984. She specializes in realtime reporting and realtime captioning. Diane currently freelances in Hamilton. more... Caroline Sebastian, CSR, is a graduate from George Brown College, following which she trained in British Columbia and then started to work as a court reporter both in court and then went into freelance. She currently freelances for an agency in Mississauga. Caroline has been a court reporter for six years. She became part of our team in December of 1997. more... Kathy Toy is a graduate of George Brown College. Kathy has done data entry, office management, freelancing and has taught machine shorthand speed development. In October she started with a freelance agency in Toronto where she presently works in federal tax court. She joined our team in December of 1997. more... Terry Wood, CSR, RPR, graduated from George Brown College in 1986. She has worked in court and freelancing until she started broadcast captioning two years ago. Terry is to be congratulated as she recently achieved the Registered Professional Reporter designation. Terry joined the team in January of 1998. more... |
